PTSB Community brings our people and communities together for social good. For us, it’s about supporting local initiatives that make a real difference.
We’ve already provided over €2.5 million euro in funding, helping organisations in communities right across Ireland.
Fifteen charities from across the country were shortlisted; five across Dublin and surrounding counties, five across the North and West of the country, and five from the South and East.
The two charities that received the most public votes in each of our three regions are the PTSB Community partners for 2026.
These include Alzheimer Society of Ireland, ICARE, Cancer Connect, Childhood Cancer Ireland, St. Francis Hospice and HUGG - Support After Suicide.
The Alzheimer Society of Ireland (ASI) is the leading dementia-specific service provider in Ireland. The ASI works across the country in the heart of local communities, providing dementia-specific services and supports and advocating for the rights and needs of all people living with dementia and their carers. As a national non-profit organisation, they advocate, empower, and champion the rights of people living with dementia and their communities to quality support and services.
ICARE (Inishowen Children’s Autism Related Education) supports autistic individuals and their families across Inishowen. Founded by parents in 2000, they provide tailored services including after-school and holiday programmes, Sonas Youth Club for teens, and iADULT day service for adults. Their dedicated centre in Buncrana offers a safe, inclusive space for learning and social connection. Through advocacy, respite, and community engagement, they promote inclusion and empower autistic individuals to thrive. With continued support, they aim to expand these life-changing services.
Cancer Connect is a community service providing free, confidential, door-to-door transport for cancer patients across Cork to hospitals including CUH, Bon Secours, Mercy and South Infirmary. Established in 2011 and run by a voluntary board with 600 volunteer drivers, the service removes travel stress so patients can focus on treatment. Operating daily for radiotherapy, chemotherapy and related appointments, Cancer Connect has completed more than 60,000 journeys to date, ensuring vital access to care for those who need it most.
Childhood Cancer Ireland is a national charity dedicated to supporting children and young people with cancer, survivors and their families, throughout their cancer experience. As a parent and survivor-led charity, they understand how this diagnosis pulls the rug from under the entire family without warning. When that happens, Childhood Cancer Ireland is there, giving families the strength and support they need, every step of the way. They do this work without Government funding, relying on the generosity of public and corporate donors.
St. Francis Hospice has been caring for the North Dublin community since 1989, providing free, specialist palliative care to patients and families at their Raheny and Blanchardstown facilities. Serving nearly 700,000 people across North Dublin and neighbouring counties, they are committed to delivering compassionate, innovative care that meets the needs of a growing and ageing population. Their work is made possible by the generosity of their community and the dedication of their staff and volunteers.
HUGG is the national suicide bereavement organisation. They provide support groups led by trained volunteers with lived experience of suicide loss, a compassionate telephone support line, grief resources, events and webinars. Focused on suicide postvention – supporting people after suicide – HUGG helps people navigate life after loss, lowering the risk of further harm and offering connection, understanding and hope when it is needed most.
