Updated Sunday 1st December: PTSB has resolved the payments issue reported on Friday and the vast majority of customers have now received their payments. All incoming payments due to PTSB accounts have been received. A small number of customers may experience a delay in receiving outgoing payments over the weekend due to Friday’s issue. These payments are expected to be received by Monday morning at the latest.
All other services, including our mobile app, are operating as normal.
The payment delays were caused by a technical issue experienced by a third-party payments provider. A number of banks in countries in Europe were similarly impacted.
We wish to again reiterate our sincere apologies to all customers impacted by Friday’s issues. Any customer who may have incurred an unpaid or late payment fee as a result of this issue will be reimbursed by the bank.
To provide additional support to our customers with any queries they may have, we have extended our contact centre opening hours on Saturday and Sunday to open between 10am and 5pm, and will open a number of branches across the country between 10am and 2pm on Saturday (list of branches here).
