It’s not just our mortgage that helps you to keep living after you’ve moved into your new home, our Explore Account will too.

To get our cashback monthly offer you’ll need to open or switch to an Explore Account and have your monthly mortgage repayment paid from this account. Your 2% cashback will then be credited directly into your Explore Account, or another permitted PTSB account of your choice, at the start of the month following your mortgage repayment.

You can open an Explore Account when you apply for your mortgage, after approval, or after your mortgage has drawn down. Switching to the Explore Account is easy and your mortgage advisor, along with our dedicated Switch Team, will help you along the way.

As well as 2% cashback each month, you’ll get some other great benefits too.

2% cashback monthly

If you pay back your mortgage from an Explore Account you’ll get 2% cashback on your mortgage repayment every month until 2030.

The offer is valid for customers who receive their full mortgage Letter of Approval on or before 31 March 2025.

The 2% cashback monthly offer does not apply to buy-to-let mortgages.

Only payments made by Direct Debit or Internal Standing Order from an Explore Account will qualify. Your cashback will be paid into your Explore Account, or other permitted PTSB account of your choice, at the start of each month

Cashback on Bills

We‘ve partnered with some of Ireland’s leading brands, such as Sky, SSE Airtricity and Circle K to bring you great savings on your regular bills. Whether you’re a new customer, or already have an account with our partners, you can avail of this exclusive deal when you pay by Direct Debit.

  • You can keep track of your cashback on Open24 Online Banking.
  • Your cashback on bills will be credited to your Explore Account or other permitted account of your choice, at the start of each month.

5c back as you Pay

Every time you pay with your card in-store or online, you‘ll get 5c back. And as you keep using your card, we’ll keep rewarding you. You can earn up to €5 per month through this cashback feature alone.

  • You can keep track of your 5c cashback total during the month on Open24 Online Banking.
  • Your total will be credited to your Explore Account, or other permitted account of your choice, at the start of each month.

You’re in control of your fees

With the Explore Account you’re always in control of what you pay with a flat €8 monthly maintenance fee for your account. There are no day-to-day transaction fees for using your Visa Debit Card, or for other things like Direct Debits and Standing Orders. There may be other charges for things like Government Stamp Duty on your debit card, unpaid items, or if you use an ATM outside the Eurozone.

2% cashback monthly will be paid until 31/12/2030. Your monthly mortgage repayment must be made from a PTSB Explore Account and meet qualifying criteria. Only mortgage payments made by Direct Debit from an Explore Account will get the 2% cashback monthly. The Explore Account carries a €8 monthly fee for maintaining the account. Any items that are returned unpaid (including Direct Debits and Standing Orders) will incur the appropriate unpaid item charge and other charges may apply. eStatements only.  If any changes to the billed monthly mortgage repayment are made they must be agreed by both you and PTSB to be eligible for the cashback monthly offer.

If either the Explore Account or the Mortgage is terminated for any reason then the monthly cashback will cease. PTSB retains the right to close the Explore Account as per the General Terms & Conditions. Offer applies to home loans only i.e. excludes buy-to-lets. It should be noted that any change in use of the property from personal use to letting could have tax implications for you.
