Open an Account in the PTSB App
Step 1: Register for Open24 Online Banking
To open an Online Savings or Deposit Account, you must be a PTSB customer registered for Open24 Online Banking. If you're already registered for Open24 and have the PTSB App, skip to step 2. If you have not registered for Open24, follow this guide to get set up.
Scan the QR code below to download the PTSB App.
Step 2: Log in to the PTSB App
- Open the PTSB App.
- Log in to the app by using 3 digits of your Personal Access Number.
- Select "Apply" on the bottom menu.
- Select either "Savings Accounst" or "Deposit Accounts".
- Select "See my options", and select the account you wish to open.
Step 3: The application
- Follow the questions to complete the application, then select "Continue".
- Confirm that you have read, and acknowledge receipt of the Depositor Information Sheet, then select "Continue".
- You will be presented with an overview of your details. Confirm that your details are correct.
- You will receive a security code by text message to your registered mobile number which is activated for 5 minutes. Enter the code, then select "Continue".
- Your account is now open.

Open an Account through Open24 Online Banking
Step 1: Register for Open24 Online Banking
To open an Online Savings or Deposit Account, you must be a PTSB customer registered for Open24 Online Banking. If you're already registered for Open24, skip to step 2. If you have not registered for Open24, follow this guide to get set up.
Step 2: Log in to Open24
- Log in using your Open24 Number (it's on the back of your Visa Debit Card).
- Enter your Open24 password.
- You will then be asked to enter 3 digits of your Personal Access Number (PAN).
- On the left hand-side menu, click "Apply online".
- Then navigate to either "Online Savings Accounts", or "Online Fixed Term Deposit Accounts".
- Select the account you wish to open.
- Select "Open now".
Step 3: The application
- Follow the questions to complete the application, then select "Continue".
- Confirm that you have read, and acknowledge receipt of the Depositor Information Sheet, then select "Continue".
- You will be presented with an overview of your details. Confirm that your details are correct.
- You will receive a security code by text message to your registered mobile number which is activated for 5 minutes. Enter the code, then select "Continue".
- Your account is now open.
