Terms and conditions apply to all Savings and Deposit Accounts. We encourage you to read our Terms and Conditions brochure for full details.
Interest on your savings is generally subject to DIRT (Deposit Interest Retention Tax) at the prevailing rate.
If you qualify for a DIRT exemption you are required to download the relevant checklist and submit a DIRT exemption form for each account.
Find out if you are exempt from DIRT.
When opening a Savings or Deposit Account, whether online or in-branch, certain documents are required. These include proof of identification, address, and your PPSN or Tax Reference Number. View our list of required documents and further details on why these are needed.
If you fail to provide your Tax Reference Number and/or supporting documentation, we are required to indicate this on the annual return of interest.
More information can be found on the Revenue website.
When applying online, additional documentation or details may be required before opening your account.
Once your account is open, we must ensure your compliance with current legislation.
If you do not meet these requirements, we may need to close your account and transfer the closing balance to another account you hold with us. If no such account exists, we will return the funds to you by cheque.
